Regular Tavern

If you look at the Research Tree Page, you see a quite big amount of features to unlock for your Tavern. This features includes stuff like the Kitchen and new barrels with new drinks like Lemonade, Ale and Wine for your Bar. You can also unlock the ability to host Special Events, the ability to send Adventurers on Adventures and musicians, who will keep your Guests entertained so they will wait longer for their orders.

The best researchable features are stuff like new Floors for your Tavern and a Hotel expansion which adds a completely new area to manage.

For getting Research Points you need to unlock "Researchers" in the Research Tree, place a Research Desk from the Special shop tab and a Bookshelf from the Decoration shop tab and hire a Researcher. The Researcher will then start to generate the Research Points.

You will gain Research Points as you play. However, they will only be counted, if you are researching something that needs them for Research, meaning the rest of the time, your Researchers won't do anything at all.

The Researchers and the Research Points are not available in the Winter Tavern setting.

As you can see in the example image to the left, features are researched by serving different types of Guests in specific amounts. The costs for a specific Research is always displayed left of the corresponding Research Icon. To research the Kitchen we need to serve 25 Common Guests.

Winter Tavern

After researching "Winter Tavern" in the regular game mode, you gain access to a new game mode in the main menu. The Winter game mode features some different game experience such as warm Drinks and the need to heat the Tavern. The Research Tree also differs from the regular one as you can see below.
